Tanya graduated from a 3000 hour program at the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2007 and became a Registered Massage Therapy after completing the Provincial Board exams that same year.
Tanya believes in providing a therapeutic massage in a relaxing environment, facilitating the mind, body, spirit connection.
Since leaving school Tanya's continuing education courses have had a focus on sports medicine techniques and have included advanced myofascial release techniques, active assisted stretching, advanced joint mobilizations, and continuing reviews of anatomy and physiology. Tanya has two children of her own and has enjoyed the the experience of becoming a mother.
Interest in assisting women through maternity has been a focus of the past for Tanya and she has had experience in prenatal massage.
Chronic pain, and neurological disorders have turned into a reoccurring and recent theme in Tanya's practice as well as utilizing massage therapy to assist those dealing with depression and anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder. Therefore these are to be areas of study and education for Tanya in the coming years.
