Roi Rollins (RMT), a graduate of the Vancouver Career College as a Registered Massage Therapist, firmly believes that healing treatments for the body start with the mind and lifestyle of an individual. After that, support of a skilled massage therapist optimizes the body’s ability to recover and heal.
Whether he is treating someone for orthopedic and systemic conditions or providing relaxation relief for chronic stress, Roi develops patient-centred treatment plans as each person is unique. Combining SYSTEMIC DEEP TISSUE THERAPY, NEURAL MANIPULATION, VISCERAL MANIPULATION, CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY, MYOFASCIAL RELEASE, TRIGGER POINT THERAPY, GRASTON TECHNIQUE, KINESO TAPING and other techniques, he works to maximize joint mobilization.
As an athlete, Roi knows the value of massage therapy because he has been injured numerous times during Mixed Martial Arts training and swimming as well as a motor vehicle accident. By overcoming his own pain and making a full recovery, he has direct knowledge and deeper empathy for his patients. Roi knows firsthand THAT PROPER TREATMENT CAN FULLY RESTORE BODIES AND LIVES TO PRE-INJURY CONDITIONS. He is living proof.
Roi understands that massage therapy—especially myofascial release work— is fundamental to restoring the wellbeing of people who come to him with serious injuries or debilitating conditions. In addition, massage provides much relief for headaches and chronic pain caused by prolonged computer use and sedentary lifestyles.
Inspired by the amount of help he received during his own recovery, Roi is passionate about helping others to regain their vitality. They also affirm what one of his teachers told him long ago—that “ROI HAS TALENTED AND GIFTED HANDS."
Food plays such an important part of our quality of life and I am a strong believer that good nutrition should be simple and enjoyable. I have nearly a decade of experience as a Registered Dietitian working with individuals of all ages with a variety of health concerns. I enjoy getting to know my clients and understanding their unique needs. Ultimately, my aim is to work collaboratively with individuals and families to find practical and sustainable solutions, while promoting balance, variety and flexibility with eating.
I am a mom of two young children who have taught me a lot about the common issues that come with feeding kids. Feeding a family is a tough gig and I am no stranger to what it’s like to plan and prepare meals for a busy family. I am passionate about helping families raise healthy and adventurous eaters and shift towards more enjoyable mealtimes.
I am uniquely qualified to help individuals living with chronic disease and those struggling with their weight. I have years of experience counselling individuals to develop lifelong healthy habits and a positive relationship with food to better manage their health. As a certified Craving ChangeTM facilitator, I can address problematic and emotional eating by offering strategies to change underlying patterns of thinking or behavior.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and getting outdoors together. Whether it be hiking, biking or camping, I enjoy the opportunity to take in some beautiful scenery and burn some energy.
My Credentials: I earned my BSc in Nutrition and Food Science and graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta’s Dietetic Internship Program. I am registered with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and a member of the Canadian Obesity Network.
