Nathan Bruneau MScPT CAFCI
Nathan was born and raised in Southern Alberta. He received his Master's in Physical Therapy in 2010 and has been a practicing clinician ever since. He moved to Vernon for the multiple outdoor activities and beautiful weather. A jack of all trades and master of none, he has experience in everything from snowshoeing and mountain biking to golf and racquet sports. He enjoys helping people with all types of problems including pain, stiffness, weakness, and movement restriction anywhere in the body. Nathan prides himself on connecting all issues that arise during a physiotherapy assessment. You would be surprised how often stiffness, weakness, or postural issues in one area leads to pain somewhere else. During physiotherapy sessions, Nathan’s goal is to find the primary cause of your pain or restriction, as well as the compensation it creates. This is necessary for relieving current symptoms, and essential in preventing future problems. Nathan is a bit of a golf nut (to put it mildly). Have a golf injury? He can’t wait to help you. Discuss the swing? He’s in!

Initial Physiotherapy Assessment - 30 minutes
Physiotherapy is aimed at treating pain, stiffness, restriction, and weakness anywhere in the body. Our approach focuses on the connection between all areas of the body that contribute to pain or restriction, as well as eliminating the pain itself. This is achieved through a combination of manual therapy (joint mobilization, muscle and fascia release etc.) combined with individualized exercise programs and optional modalities such as acupuncture. A thorough assessment of the entire body is crucial to solving the complex problem that often surrounds persistent pain and stiffness. The aim of physiotherapy is to not only resolve the symptoms you are currently experiencing, but to prevent the problems from occurring again in the future.
