Johannes graduated as a manual osteopath in 2012 after completing a 5 year full-time program at CEESO, Lyon, France. Since then he has gained experience in various osteopathic practices in France treating babies, pregnant women, athletes and the elderly. Johannes utilises all types of osteopathic techniques in his treatments – gentle joint mobilisations, muscles energy technique, visceral and cranial osteopathy.

In addition to osteopathy, Johannes has studied Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS) as developed by the Prague School of Rehabilitation, and was involved in it’s inception in France. Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation assists in the development of ideal movement patterns in babies as they move off the floor, verticalise and learn stability.

These optimal movement patterns developed in early childhood can break down in adults after trauma (motor vehicle accidents), athletic injuries, poor postural habits, or as part of the aging process. DNS complements osteopathy and is a manual approach which can relieve tension by improving daily postural habits, movement patterns, stability and breathing dysfunctions. For athletes DNS can improve performance. For the elderly DNS can assist with postural balance and walking. For young children it helps build the framework of movement that follows them through life.

Johannes enjoys mountain sports including climbing, backcountry skiing, mountaineering, and trail running. He also plays the trumpet, clarinet, piano and guitar and understands the musculoskeletal disorders with which singers and musicians present. Johannes’ comprehensive educational background makes him qualified and eager to treat all ages and all presenting conditions.
