We are open!! Here is a little bit about what you can expect regarding our new protocols:
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Please cancel your appointment if you are experiencing ANY of the following symptoms:
Shortness of breath
Sore throat and painful swallowing
Stuffy or runny nose
Loss of sense of smell
Loss of appetite
Please cancel your appointment if you have travelled outside of BC in the last 14 days. All cancellation fees will be waived at this time.
Please complete the BC Covid-19 self-assessment tool one day before your scheduled appointment https://bc.thrive.health/covid19/en
If you have a mask, please bring it with you to your appointment. You will be required to wear it for the duration of your time inside the clinic. If you do not own a mask, please let us know and we will try our best to supply one for you. At this time, supplies are quite limited so please do try to bring your own if possible.
Please do not bring anything extra with you to your appointment -please come alone if possible, please do not bring multiple bags with you, etc
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT:
The clinic door will be locked upon your arrival. Please either wait outside the clinic or in your car and your therapist will come to get you at your scheduled appointment time. Your therapist will open the door for you so you do not have to touch it.
Once inside the clinic, please either go directly to the washroom to wash your hands for the required 20sec or, if no visible signs of dirt are present, you can alternatively go to a sanitation station to scrub your hands with hand sanitizer for 20sec.
From there, you will be guided directly into your treatment room by your therapist.
Your therapist will be wearing a clean mask for the duration of your visit.
For massage clients, there will be a clean plastic bin in the treatment room for you to place your belongings in (bags, purses, shoes, clothing, jewelry, watches). After your treatment, please use the provided hand sanitizer before touching anything in the treatment room. Once dressed, please use a tissue or towel to open the treatment room door and your therapist will re-enter the treatment room.
For physiotherapy clients, you will be asked to wear a patient gown (worn over your clothes with a short sleeve shirt).
Outside of the treatment room, please respect social distancing protocols as best as possible.
As our point of sale (POS) machine does not have the tap function, please pay by e-transfer if possible. The POS machine will, however, be available if needed and will be cleaned after each use. Receipts will be emailed.
Please wash or sanitize your hands before leaving the clinic. Your therapist will open the clinic door for you to exit.
WHAT WE ARE DOING TO KEEP THINGS CLEAN:
We have removed all unnecessary or hard to clean items from the clinic, such as the water dispenser, books, magazines, business cards, and cloth chairs.
Massage therapists will either be wearing a clean apron or a complete change of clothing for each new client to minimize risk of viral transmission. Lotion will be kept at the side of the treatment room as holsters cannot be properly cleaned/sanitized between clients.
We will be washing our hands thoroughly and often throughout the day, especially before and after interacting with clients.
The treatment rooms, washroom and commonly touched surfaces will be disinfected before and after every appointment.
All laundry will be run on the sanitization setting.
We will be re-opening slowly -trying to stagger all appointments and leaving plenty of extra time between appointments so the clinic can be properly cleaned between clients.
Please remember that tele-rehab sessions are still available for physiotherapy sessions, either as a supplement to seeing Sheila in person, or if it’s your preferred method of treatment at this time.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation during this time -it’s much appreciated!!
If you have any questions at all, we would love to hear from you. Your safety and well-being is our top-most priority and we are really looking forward to seeing each and every one of you again.
Colleen, Sheila, Rebecca, and Lehran
